Final Project
For our final project there are multiple ideas that I could choose from. An economic expert must know how these different ideas have an impact on the economy and what can be done to prevent it from faltering. Firstly, unemployment depicts whether or not an economy is healthy or not. The rate of unemployment can be reduced in many ways, and I would like to know what these methods are. Furthermore, GDP growth is a good topic to choose because it shows if a economy is growing or not, a key factor in any nation's economy. Lastly, debt would be my last choice for the final project. A country's deficit/surplus shows how they fare in the world market. I would like to learn from this topic how a country can reduce their debt and turn it into a surplus.

National Happiness
To measure the overall happiness and health of a nation is a big mistake to commit. The economy has many small details, and we cannot ignore them. Therefore, if we were to judge a nation's happiness and health, we would have to determine it through smaller sects (such as gender, age, how much income one makes, etc.). To judge a nation's happiness reflects off many factors of any individual's life, as we are all unique and lead very different lives. But on the other hand, the only factors that affects a nation's health is healthcare plans, advances in medical research, and only a few more factors. When it comes to material things, people are in love with the feelings that they bring, generating a lot of happiness in this person. Also, when it comes to the advertising of something as unhealthy as cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol, the national health decreases as it should not be publicized in the first place. These items are one of the many items that should not be publicized as it does affect the health of hundreds of thousands of people nationwide. Publication such as movies and commercials depict these items as the norm, and could hurts the health of our nation. There are many things that the United States of America could do to increase both the national health and happiness of its citizens. Dozens of x factors can be approved on, and once all of these different divisions' happiness and health are at an all time high, then the nation can be judged as a whole.

EHS Choices
Throughout my two years at EHS, i have made a lot of choices that have affected my grades and social life. For example, during my sophomore year I was enrolled in Chemistry I Honors, a very difficult class. Although I was struggling in the beginning of the school year, I did not feel the need to go to tutorials. Most of my classmates attended these tutorials and some even shined in the class. Rather than attend these tutorials, I spent time with my friends throughout the school. Later I met with my teacher about my struggling grade and she recommended me going to tutorial. Despite the fact I did not attend tutorials in the beginning of the year, my grade began to rise and I easily passed the class with a high grade during the second semester. Another example, an upcoming test in one of my classes scared every single one of my classmates. I was sick for that week and expected to receive a few days to prepare when I got back from my break. My thought of what was going to happen was very incorrect. I took the test without a bit of preparation. I should have talked to my teachers about the content of the chapter in order to learn it in my sick days. Instead, I used them to relax. In another instance, with the help of my tutor we went ahead in the chapter. I easily passed the next few quizzes and tests. Not only did I understand the material, but I was also able to help my fellow peers. It is quite obvious what is need to prosper in the tough experiences of high school. Preparation is key in the success of all students. To sit back and relax instead of applying ourself is a mistake and I hope that all of us learn this lesson.

Week 1
So far Economics seems very interesting. The book is fairly easy to understand and presents the information in a comprehendible way. In this class, I hope to learn how the economy can fluctuate due to increase/decrease of demand and many other factors. This class will be very useful in the future as it will help all of us understand the infrastructure of our economy and what we can to do to help it. Can't wait to learn more.
